Rob Krieger is a multimedia reporter for News 2 Louisiana. He began doing reports as an apprentice for the station in June 2008, and officially joined the WBRZ team in January 2009.

Rob grew up in Abita Springs, Louisiana, but was born in Long Beach, California. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism from the Manship School of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University.

"It's great to have folks like Rob who have grown up in this state and understand our values. He's a hard worker. I'm glad he's part of the WBRZ News 2 team," said News Director Chuck Bark.

Rob chose to become a journalist because his grandfather, a reporter in New Orleans, inspired him. Before coming to work for WBRZ, he wrote articles for the student publication, Tiger Weekly, and he was a news reporter for LSU's Tiger Television. Rob also interned for WWL-TV in New Orleans before starting his career with WBRZ.

Among Rob's accomplishments is an award for spot news coverage in 2010 from the Louisiana Associated Press. While in college in 2007, he won a Mark of Excellence Award from the Society of Professional Journalists. Rob also was proud to be a member of LSU's lacrosse team.

Rob currently resides in Baton Rouge with his wife and their two children.
