Road to honor late, long-serving pastor
BATON ROUGE- A street will be renamed in honor of a prominent pastor who died in 2012.
Charles T. Smith will be memorialized on the boulevard named for him between South 10th and Eddie Robinson, Sr. Drive. Currently, the road is named America Street.
Smith retired from Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. He worked at the church for 50 years. He died in September.
The ceremony to change the street's name is Saturday at the church.
