UPDATE: Wooddale Blvd. has been re-opened by police.

BATON ROUGE - Police are investigating a crash in north Baton Rouge that seriously injured a man in a wheelchair and caused officers to close a portion of the highway.

Police said a witness saw the crash and stopped to perform CPR on the pedestrian until paramedics arrived. The victim was taken to a local hospital.

Wooddale Blvd. has been closed north of Florida blvd. up to Franwood Drive while police investigate the scene. It's expected to stay closed for one to two hours.
