BRUSLY - "Stonewall Plantation" could add hundreds of homes and a "Town Center" to Brusly.
The proposed development would extend from La. 1 northwest along W. St. Francis Street, past South Labauve Ave.
The "Town Center" will incorporate a number of local shops and maybe restaurants.
Project engineers say architectural designs will stay uniform throughout the town center, resembling a traditional south Louisiana design.
"We wanted to do something that the town of Brusly could be proud of so we thought about doing a traditional neighborhood development on the likes of River Ranch down in Lafayette," Harry L. Laws and Co., Inc. Developer Butch Plauche said.
