Rivals face off in Civil War, Golden Boot battles
UNDATED - Three short weeks ago, Oregon players were likely thinking their rivalry game with Oregon State today would just be one final hurdle toward a spot in the BCS Championship game. But 117th edition of the Civil War has been relegated to just a battle for bragging rights in the state after the Ducks dropped two of their last three to Stanford and Arizona.
While the losses may have dropped Oregon out of the chase for a BCS bowl game and Pac-12 championship, the Ducks still have hopes for a sixth straight 10-win season and sixth straight win over the Beavers who have lost five in a row to fall to 6-5.
No. 15 LSU wraps up its regular season by hosting Arkansas. The 8-3 Tigers are 6-0 at Tiger Stadium this season where they have won 30 of their last 31 games. The 3-8 Razorbacks have dropped a school-record eight in a row and will be trying to avoid their first winless record in SEC play since joining the conference in 1992.
No. 16 Fresno State is at San Jose State in a quest to complete a perfect 11-0 regular season.
No. 17 UCF needs a first ever win at home over South Florida to keep alive its hopes of an outright American Athletic Conference title and BCS bowl bid.
