Ride for beer prompts arrest
A man who called 911 at least nine times was busted for one call asking if the call center could send him a ride to pick up beer. Most of the calls were hang ups but were traced to 67-year-old Allen Brooks of Columbia, Tennessee. When an office went to his house, he was told if he would cooperate he would just get a citation. Officer Seneca Shield says he denied making the calls and he was arrested and charged with making the 911 calls in a non-emergency situation.
