BATON ROUGE- Sgt. Mike McNaughton is just one of more than 120 wounded warriors taking part in Ride 2 Recovery's mission to France. The group will spend time touring historic sites from World War II.
"It's one thing to read a book and watch a movie, but to have a gentleman that's been through there and then bring him back to where he landed in Normandy, is going to be astounding," said McNaughton.
The group typically helps with rehabilitation in wounded soldiers through cycling, so part of their trip will take them on one leg of the Tour de France.
"We're gonna ride some part of the tour de france and then stage 6 we're gonna give the winner the winning jersey for that day," said McNaughton.
