BATON ROUGE- A number of communities decided on city leaders and taxes Saturday.

Polls closed at 8 p.m. and you can get preliminary results HERE.

In East Baton Rouge, voters decided on municipal elections in Central where a new mayor and police chief were being elected along with five council persons. Also, there was a property tax renewal on the ballot to fund BREC.

Voters in Livingston and Iberville approved a series of tax items.  But, in St. Helena, voters denied a tax for the sheriff's office.

In Port Allen, voters elected Richard Lee as mayor over former mayor Deedy Slaughter.
