Retirement, education and Juban Crossing on Capitol agendas
BATON ROUGE- Lawmakers are scheduled to vote on another part of Governor Bobby Jindal's pension reform.
The bill would base retirement on a state worker's last five years of employment instead of the current three year window.
The House Education Committee is set to vote on a number of bills. One eliminates extended sick leave for public school teachers and employees. Another limits class size for K-4 classes and requires two teachers.
Senate Finance is scheduled to vote on a bill dealing with the Juban Crossing retail project. It creates a special tax district.
