Responders cut ribbon on new emergency facility
IBERVILLE - Emergency responders and parish authorities officially opened a new emergency ambulance facility in eastern Iberville Parish Wednesday.
Sheriff Brett Stassi said the addition will give those parts of the parish, including St. Gabriel, a 24-hour paramedic and ambulance service.
Stassi and Acadian Ambulance negotiated the service as part of Acadian's contract with the parish. The parish provided the facility on land they owned, while Acadian agreed to staff it.
