Report: Pair of LSU Tigers have flagged NFL drug tests
Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reported that LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger and defensive tackle Anthony Johnson have failed drug tests administered at the NFL Combine in February.
Mettenberger's urine sample was diluted and therefore considered "failed" under the NFL rules.
The quarterback agents contest that Mettenberger was following his doctors orders to drink extra water after suffering from cramping while rehabilitating from knee surgery and that is what led to the diluted sample.
Mettenberger is considered a top three round draft selection in this weeks NFL draft.
Johnson was reported to have failed his drug test.
The first round of the NFL draft starts on Thursday evening, with two more days of drafting to follow.
