Report: Husband used kitchen knife to stab wife, fetus
WALKER - An arrest report revealed more details today about what investigators found when they arrived at the scene of a stabbing in Walker.
According to the report by the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office, 31-year-old Jeffrey Reynolds used a kitchen knife to slash his pregnant wife's throat before cutting out her unborn child.
When they arrived, deputies said they found Reynolds kneeling over one of the victims. They also found the child dead, with a laceration on its skull.
Reynolds is in jail facing first degree feticide and second degree attempted murder charges. He's in the parish jail on a half-million dollar bond.
His wife is in stable condition at an area hospital. An autopsy on the child was scheduled for today.
