ALEXANDRIA - The survivor of a police shooting was released from the hospital a week and a day after being admitted.

Chris Few was sent home and is with family, KALB TV reported. Few was shot and his son, Jeremy Mardis, was killed. Mardis, 6, was in the front seat of a vehicle his father was driving when part time Marksville City Marshals opened fire.

State Police arrested two of the marshals last week on murder and attempted murder charges.

Few was transferred to a hospital in Rapides Parish after the shooting last Tuesday night.

A gag order prohibits those with knowledge of the case from talking publicly.
