Brees, Saints agree on $100M deal
NEW ORLEANS - The Saints and Drew Brees finally reached an agreement on the quarterback's contract today.
ESPN analyst Chris Mortensen tweeted that the five-year, $100 million deal includes $40 million for the first year alone. It also guarantees Brees will make $60 million in the first three years.
Since joining the Saints franchise in 2006, Brees led the team to its first Super Bowl title and has appeared in the Pro Bowl five times.
