ST. LANDRY PARISH - The body of a missing 21-year-old Shreveport woman was discovered in a South Louisiana lake Monday morning.

According to a report from KLFY, a fisherman headed to Toledo Bend hooked the woman's purse, which contained her ID, and contacted authorities. A search crew finally found her body in Lake Dubuisson around 10:30 a.m.

The woman has been identified as 21-year-old Lia Ali Kazan.

St. Landry Sheriff Bobby Guidroz said the woman was abducted while visiting Alexandria. Investigators believe her body had been in the lake since Saturday or Sunday.

According to St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz, a man's body was found inside the victim's vehicle Tuesday afternoon.

KLFY says the 2007 Ford Taurus was found close to where Kazan's body was recovered on Monday morning. The body, described simply as a white male, was pulled from the vehicle just before 3 p.m.

He has been identified, however next of kin are still being notified, authorities said.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s 337-948-6516.
