Remains identified as woman missing for five years
LORANGER - Authorities in Tangipahoa Parish have identified human remains found near Loranger as those of missing person Dena Fout.
Dena Fout has been missing since August 4, 2009. Her remains were found last week on May 21. Detectives are working on determining a cause and time of death.
Numerous man hours have gone into investigating Fout's disappearance. There were many reports and tips throughout the years that Dena was still alive, and detectives have never able to verify Fout's whereabouts until yesterday.
Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards is asking anyone with information regarding the death to please come forward.
