Remains found in abandoned home
SLIDELL - Sheriff's deputies in St. Tammany Parish said they're investigating skeletal remains found in a long-abandoned home this week.
The sheriff's office said what they suspected to be human remains were found Monday in a home on West Street near Bayou Liberty, in the Slidell area.
Based on their condition, deputies suspect the remains had been there for several years.
Deputies turned the remains over to the St. Tammany Parish Coroner's office for identification and to determine cause of death.
