Registered sex offender accused of molesting 2 children
BATON ROUGE- A convicted sex offender has been accused of molesting two children between two and six years old.
James Edward Dyer, 52, was booked into Parish Prison on two counts of molestation of a juvenile. The children were abused at Dyer’s home and the older child reported the abuse to a parent last month, police records say.

Dyer has multiple convictions for sex offenses, including crimes against children, according to state sex offender records. He was convicted of attempted aggravated rape in 1982 and of indecent behavior with juveniles in 1991 and again in 1992, according to the sex offender registry.
