Automated external defibrilators, or AEDs, can be a lifesaver when someone has a heart attack.
The AED provides an electric charge to jump start a heart during potentially deadly interruptions of the heart's normal rhythm.
John Gillespie got first-hand experience with the technology. The equipment is available in some public places and businesses. Gillespie's co-workers used the AED to save his life. They shared their story with News 2's John Pastorek to help you "Reduce Your Risk".
