ASHBURN, Va. - The Washington Redskins have worked out former Oakland Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell.
Russell was among several players on the practice field after the Redskins held their final workout before leaving for a bye week vacation.
The Redskins routinely take a look at out-of-work players on Tuesdays.
Offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan said: "We'll evaluate him and everyone else out there."
Russell was released in May after three disappointing seasons with the Raiders.
Russell's workout comes only two days after Redskins starter Donovan McNabb was benched in the closing minutes of a loss to Detroit.
