Redecorating lamp shades made easy
BATON ROUGE - A do-it-yourself expert has a cheap and easy way to recover or redecorate old lamp shades.
Julie Laperouse with www.screamingpeacock.org recommended these tools to spruce up a lamp shade: a new piece of fabric, chalk and some chandelier crystals.
Laperouse used the chalk to outline the shape and size of her old lamp shade. After that, she cut out a new shade cover, from the chalk outline.
Laperouse said the chandelier crystals are inexpensive and can be found at retail stores.
