BENTON - Dental records confirm the human remains found in Webster Parish are that of 46-year-old Ann Bond, who was reported missing from Bossier City last week.

Bossier Parish Sheriff Julian Whittington said his department Wednesday received confirmation of the identity from LSU forensic anthropologist Mary Manhein, who worked with a forensic dentist to determine it.

The Times reports Whittington says it will take another two weeks to determine a cause of death.

The search for Bond began Thursday after she failed to show up for work. Her remains were found Monday in an area where her estranged husband, 53-year-old Robert Bond Jr., was known to hunt. Whittington says Bond will face a second-degree murder charge following his release from a Mississippi hospital where he's recovering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
