Afternoon Weather Update

...Wind Advisory Until 5 PM...

We will have mostly cloudy skies and it will be very windy this afternoon. We will have winds coming out of the southwest at 20 to 30 mph. Due to this the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory until 5 PM. Be sure to pick up any toys, trash cans and lids so they do not blow away! We will also be very warm and humid with a record high of 82. The record was set all the way back in 1909!

It will stay warm and muggy tonight until a cold front moves into Baton Rouge from the northwest. This will set off scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. I am not expecting a big event with this front since we will only get light to moderate rain. Low temperatures will drop into the lower 60s.

Be sure to watch my video forecast for all the details on our weather.
