Recalled mayor wants her job back
PORT ALLEN- Deedy Slaughter, the former controversial mayor of this West Baton Rouge town and the subject of a successful recall by city voters, has decided to run again for mayor.
According to the Secretary of State's online database, Slaughter filed documents Friday- Valentine's Day. It appears she'll campaign to regain control of the office she was removed from last year.
Slaughter is one of five people who filed paperwork to run for mayor.
