Rebels, Tigers game features interception leaders
AUBURN, AL - The Auburn-Mississippi game will feature two of the national leaders in interceptions.
Senquez Golson is tied for the national lead with eight picks for No. 7 Ole Miss going into Saturday night's clash of SEC West powers. No. 4 Auburn's Jonathan Jones is tied for third with five in seven games.
Jones says "it'll be a good show this weekend."
Both cornerbacks were relatively unknown before this season.
Jones didn't play until the Ole Miss game last season after breaking his ankle late in preseason camp. Golson is finally emerging as a star as a senior for the nation's No. 1 scoring defense. He has interceptions in four straight games.
Coach Hugh Freeze says he's not surprised by Golson's emergence after seeing him in fall camp.
