Rebecca was born in Bard, California and raised in Roll, Arizona- a small town outside of Yuma, Arizona. She attended The University of Louisiana at Monroe and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, and a Bachelors degree in Spanish.
Rebecca has a passion for television. While attending college at ULM, she visited the news room of KTVE in Monroe, Louisiana and assisted a friend edit a story and then sat in on a live news cast for the first time. Since then she knew she was hooked! Immediately after college, Rebecca spent a year in Spain as a language assistant, but upon returning to the United States, went to work getting a news reel together. Within a month she started an internship and was on the air.
It was during her time at ULM where she fell in love with the people and culture in Louisiana. "I left my heart in Louisiana, and now I'm home!" says Rebecca.
Rebecca joined the WBRZ team after working as the Morning Anchor, segment host, producer and reporter at KYMA News 11 in Yuma, Arizona.
Rebecca has received multiple awards including the Yuma County Farm Bureau Media Award, the Arizona Farm Bureau Media Award for the "Homegrown Series" on Southwestern Agriculture.
