RB Ingram 'happy' with Saints, despite struggles
METAIRIE - Running back Mark Ingram says he's "happy" to be part of the 3-0 Saints, even if the running game has struggled and his role has diminished because of an injured toe.
Ingram denies a CBSSports.com report that he could request a trade, saying on Thursday that the information in the report "never" came from him.
Ingram says the only opinions he cares about are those of Saints personnel, who know he loves New Orleans and works hard to help the team.
The former Heisman Trophy winner and 2011 first-round draft choice says he's looking forward to returning to the field as soon as possible with New Orleans, which hosts Miami on Monday night.
After playing two games and missing a third, Ingram is averaging 1.8 yards per carry.
