Raising awareness for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome
BATON ROUGE - A partnership between Amerigroup and Lexlee's kids is resulting in a baby shower raising awareness of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
SIDS is the leading cause of death among infants 1 month to 1 year old, and claims the lives of about 2,500 each year in the United States.
There are ways to reduce the risk of SIDS, and how to is the topic of conversation at an event early October.
The event will be Saturday, October 4th at Cortana Store, 9401 Cortana Place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
