Raise approved for EBR bus drivers
BATON ROUGE- The East Baton Rouge Parish School Board approved a raise tonight for bus drivers.
Cheers of joy were heard as bus drivers clapped hands with one another as they left.
"We got a pay raise," Driver Pamela Manchester said with excitement.
The School Board listened to drivers make pleas for money before voting. Long time drivers said they hadn't had a raise in nearly 30 years.
Details on how much money they'll get are still being finalized.
