Rainy stretch starts today

1 year ago Monday, February 10, 2014 3:47:37 AM CST February 10, 2014 Monday, February 10 2014 Feb 10, 2014 in Weather

The week will begin with a rather gray look. As you might expect, the arrival of clouds will also lead to scattered rain showers. Several batches are set to pass through the region this week, and the first bouts of rain will cross Southern Louisiana today. As our area begins the day on the mild side of a front, high temperatures should have an opportunity to grab upper 50s early in the day despite cloud cover and showers. As the front slips south this afternoon, temperatures will remain steady or be slowly falling. That front will then stall near the Louisiana coastline. The Baton Rouge area will be on the chilly side of the front tonight and temperatures will respond by dipping into the 40s. More noticeable will be Tuesday's highs as a result of being on the cooler side of the front-remaining in the lower and middle 40s with continuing rain.
