Rain, storms, then finally feeling like winter?
Prepare for some off-and-on showers today and a mild, muggy feel. Temperatures will reach 69 with a 50% chance of coverage overall. You'll want the umbrella just in case. Similar story tonight, cooling down only to 62 degrees with some showers. Winds will shift to the south.
You'll definitely need the umbrella tomorrow as we are under a slight risk for severe weather. The biggest threats are strong winds and isolated tornadoes. I will help you stay alert through the weekend. As a warm front moves through today, that will help increase our temperatures to the middle 70's on Saturday. With this, our moisture will greatly increase as well so it will feel quite humid for January. This is all fuel for the storms tomorrow. The catalyst, the cold front, will spin up a strong line of thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon, which will lead to average January temperatures.
Toward the end of next week, another cold front comes through, this one void of much moisture, however knocking our temperatures down to more "winter-like" conditions with some 20's potentially in the forecast.
Stay alert tomorrow, and stay dry today, as we have some wet weather to get through.
