BATON ROUGE – Deputies say a sports radio host and former LSU basketball player pushed his wife into a dresser Saturday morning.

According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, 59-year-old Jordy Hultberg was charged with domestic abuse battery and simple battery Saturday morning.

Arrest documents report that Hultberg’s wife said he pushed her against a dresser then forcible kissed her after she found him sleeping with another woman.

Hultberg’s wife told investigators that while he was kissing her, Hultberg said, “You still want me don’t you!”

The arresting officer notes that the couple has been married for 15 years and is currently going through a divorce.

The wife also said Hultberg grabbed at her, ripping her pajamas. Deputies observed redness under the victim’s arms, an abrasion on her elbow, a possible bruise on her temple and a ripped shirt.

The victim’s cousin also told deputies that she was pushed out of Hultberg’s home as the couple started fighting. She said she was too afraid to go back into the home to help her cousin.

Deputies say Hultberg admitted to grabbing his wife but said he only put his hands on her to get her out of her home. He did not know if he grabbed her chin. Hewas placed under arrest and transported to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

Hultberg is a sideline reporter for LSU Sports Radio Network. He also hosts a show called “LSU Sunday Night Live” as well as “The Jordy Hultberg Show.” He was a member of the LSU basketball team under coach Dale Brown from 1976-1980.
