Racehorses die in fire near La. Downs
BOSSIER CITY- As many as two-dozen racehorses died in a barn fire near north Louisiana's Louisiana Downs racetrack Thursday night.
Firefighters said a barn at Wraparound Farms burned to the ground with horses inside. KTBS TV, the ABC affiliate for the area, reported that when emergency crews arrived the barn was engulfed in flames.
Crews are still working the scene and have not released a cause. The fire is under investigation.
