A Baker man is in jail, accused of dealing cocaine.

East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's deputies say they had been watching Joe "Rabbit" Coats, Jr. for a while.

A search of his house on Baker Blvd. turned up 4.5 ounces of cocaine and a .40 caliber pistol.

Coats is charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Possession of a Firearm with a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
