All the heavy rain from last night has dissipate and we are left with some cloud cover this morning. It is also warm and muggy with temperatures in the lower 70s.
We will have another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms today thanks to the stationary front still sitting over South Louisiana. Some of the storms could become strong and have gusty winds, heavy rain, hail and frequent lightning strikes. They will likely be slow-movers and that could cause some flash flooding. It will be hot before the storms pop-up with highs in the lower 90s. The heat index will be around 95-100.
The storms will be scattered around Southeast Louisiana this evening before the dissipate overnight. Then we will be left with mostly cloudy skies. It will be muggy with lows in the lower 70s.
