BATON ROUGE - Qualifying ends today for candidates who want to be listed on the ballot for the Nov. 6 election in Louisiana.
Candidates must file their applications and required filing fees by 5 p.m. today or remain unlisted.
In the East Baton Rouge Parish race for mayor-president, incumbent Kip Holden and Metro Council president pro tem Mike Walker qualifed, along with businessmen Gordon Meese and Steve Myers as of 4 p.m.
