A team in Utah says it achieved the holy grail of punkin chunkin by setting a record of more than a mile. Its a sport where pumpkins are fired from a giant air cannon. The "Big 10 Inch Team" from Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey says it launched a nine and a half pound pumpkin using a 90-foot, compressed air cannon. The team went to Utah hoping the high elevation and thin air would make the pumpkin travel farther. A licensed professional surveyor will verify the distance so the team can claim a new Guiness World Record.
