Prosecutor on leave after comments about African American kids
BATON ROUGE- An assistant district attorney is on leave while the office investigates potentially racial comments he made at the courthouse in downtown.
The prosecutor, whose name was not released, was overheard making fun of the names of African American children. The discussion happened amid a debate about race relations and the George Zimmerman trial.
The comments were not made during proceedings but during a recess.
