BATON ROUGE – Flood survivors will get the opportunity to shop for free clothes again tomorrow at the Red Stick Store in Cortana Mall.

The program, organized by K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers, State Representative "Ted" James and the Urban League of Louisiana,  allows for flood victims to shop for free clothes and items.

The program initially ran from Oct. 27 to Oct. 30, but thousands of families were still in need of assistance.

"So the first group that submitted applications and submitted that information to us, we sent out a special invitation to them to come out on Friday," Ted James, State Representative, said.

Before flood victims can shop, they must show a letter from FEMA or a FEMA registration to make sure all are fairly served.

"They have to bring proof we have to see that FEMA letter or that number because again we would love to bless everyone but we want to make sure we are focused on our flood survivors first," James said.

However, according to James, flood victims are not the only ones eligible to participate in the program.

"Our intention is to service as many people as possible, based on the inventory we have," James said.

Women's clothes, a few men's clothes, baby clothes and even formal gowns are available.

"Hanes was a big supporter and they donated almost three truck loads worth--so we have a lot of t-shirts a lot of undergarments and pajamas from Hanes," James said.

The store could open an additional two days if enough clothes are left over from Friday's event.
