Production of Jurassic Park 4 halted, BR won't see dinos
BATON ROUGE- Immediate hope of walking among dinosaurs is lost it appears.
Universal Studios pulled the plug on Jurassic Park 4, at least for the foreseeable future.
Last week, studio executives said they wanted more time for development and ordered a full-scale shutdown.
Universal leased space at Celtic Media Center, sources said, for the project. Crews were already scheduled to begin using the space.
Apparently, movie executives are still interested in the facility at the corner of I-12 and Airline Highway; they just don't know when they'll get in town to shoot.
The Hollywood Reporter posted on its website recently, the script for JP 4 was being reworked.
When WBRZ News 2 broke the story in March, fans in the area said they were excited about the idea, and couldn't wait to see how the production would involve the region.
