Prison for 4 DWI's in 2 days
PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND- A man who was arrested 4 times in 48 hours for drunk driving got prison time.
John Lourenco was sentenced to 2 years in prison and a $3,400 fine. He also has to attend alcohol counseling. Once he's released from prison, his license is suspended for eight-years.
Lourenco was arrested in September for DWI in Providence. The next day he was arrested 3 times in nearby Cumberland for the same thing. But on the second day he crashed into 3 cars and a tree.
He was released on summonses to court after the first 3 arrests but when he hit the tree on his fourth, he went to jail to await trial.
