WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama will make a stop in Louisiana as part of a three-day campaign trip next week.
The president is scheduled to speak at the National Urban League in New Orleans on Wednesday. His re-election campaign also said he has two fundraisers scheduled during that visit.
Aides previously had announced plans for Obama to address the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Reno, Nev., on Monday. Both speeches are considered "official" events - part of his presidential duties - even though Obama has made a concerted effort to win over military votes this fall, and to maintain his record turnout among black voters.
On Monday, Obama will also headline three Democratic fundraisers in Oakland, Calif. The following day, he'll speak at a rally and fundraiser in Portland, Oregon, and more fundraisers in Seattle.
