Preliminary, uncertified vote shows Karzai wins Afghan election
Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai has taken 54.6% of the nation's vote in a preliminary count, according to Afghan officials.
However, the election still hasn't been certified. A U.N.-backed complaints commission is examining thousands of potentially fraudulent votes from the August election. If the probe proves enough votes fraudulent,Karzai's returns could drop below 50 percent, putting him in a runoff with his top challenger, Abdullah Abdullah.
