A state judge has convicted a Prairieville man in the molestation of a 9-year-old girl in 2008.

Raymond J. Cockerham was found guilty on one count of molestation of a juvenile.

Ascension Parish prosecutors say Raymond waived his right to a jury trial and sought a bench trial, in which a judge renders the verdict.

A sentencing date has not been set.
