Prairieville man disappears while tubing, presumed dead
ISABEL - A Prairieville man is missing and presumed dead after losing control of his tube and disappearing under the water in Bogue Chitto River near Isabel, Louisiana.
According to the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office Edmund Emerson Adams, 32, was tubing with a group of friends when he lost control of his tube and disappeared beneath the water's surface.
Deputies conducted a search at the scene but couldn't find Adam's body. Deputies called off the search at dark and will resume Friday morning.
Sheriff Randy Seal said they already contacted Adams' family and told them they believe he drowned.
"It was with deep regret that we had to notify Mr. Adams' parents of the tragic death of their son. We have assured them that we did all we could this afternoon and will spare no resources when we resume our search tomorrow morning," Seal said.
Seal said they would continue searching until they found Adams' body.
