WEST BATON ROUGE PARISH - A Prairieville man is dead after a crash around 1 a.m. Saturday on LA 987-3 near LA 415 in West Baton Rouge Parish, according to Louisiana State Police Tpr. Russell Graham.

Mark Ramoin, 39, was driving a 1998 GMC pickup truck south on LA 987-3 when the truck ran off the roadway into a ditch. The truck then overturned several times and struck a utility pole.

Ramoin was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from the truck, according to Graham. Ramoin sustained fatal injuries in the crash.

Graham says troopers suspect alcohol impairment as a factor in the crash.
