BATON ROUGE - Even though the doors are shut, people who paid money to Powerhouse Gym in Baton Rouge are having a hard time getting them to stop taking their money.
After months of delays and a very limited opening at the end of December, the gym's owners agreed in court today to an eviction notice for the location at Sherwood Forest Boulevard. A lawyer associated with the case told News 2 they "handed over the keys."
People who signed up for memberships, though, said they're continuing to get calls from a collection agency trying to get their membership fees.
The billing company said they cannot stop the charges until they receive a notice from the gym's owner. People can dispute the charges, though, by calling (425) 286-1700.
News 2's Rob Krieger will have more on this story on News 2 at 6.
