ZACHARY - A man has been arrested and the body of a female has been recovered from a car parked in the station's parking lot.

District Attorney Hillar Moore told News 2 that a Houma man is in custody in this incident. He allegedly told police he killed his wife and has been riding around with her since the weekend.

Zachary PD has confirmed they are investigating this incident as a homicide.

Terrebonne Parish officials are headed to Zachary now to confirm the identity of the alleged suspect and victim. The identities of both individuals will not be released until Terrebonne officials confirm them.
