Portion of La. 1 to shut down this weekend

PLAQUEMINE - Officials in Iberville Parish say the southbound lane on La. 1 will be closed Saturday between Court and Eden streets while crews work to repair a water line.
The closure will take effect around 11 p.m. and should reopen Sunday afternoon.
Traffic will be diverted to Enterprise Rd., then to Hwy. 75 back east to La. 1.
Officials say some residents in the area may lose water service during the repair.
