PORT ALLEN - A fire tore through an apartment complex in Port Allen this morning.

Eight units of the Katherine Square Apartments units on North 14th Street were damaged.

The Red Cross is currently assisting more than 20 people displaced by the fire.

No word on what sparked the blaze.
